Give NCW: Carrying the Momentum Forward
It’s no secret that access to outdoor recreation makes North Central Washington an attractive place to live, work, and play. But the increasing popularity of the region is putting a strain on available infrastructure, management capacity and natural resources. Addressing these challenges and building a more sustainable future cannot be achieved by one organization alone. Like many outdoor pursuits, it requires assembling a team committed to working together to reach a common goal. That’s where we come in.
TREAD formed in 2017 with the desire to become NCW’s trusted partner in outdoor recreation. We regularly convene and collaborate with over 50 partners to foster a more unified approach to outdoor recreation planning and management in the region. Through these relationships we identify obstacles and use our flexibility, expertise and network to help when and where we are needed.
We’ve made some notable achievements in 2024, and now we need your help to carry the momentum forward. If you value outdoor recreation - for motorized or non-motorized pursuits - we invite you to make a donation to our 2024 Give NCW campaign.
Your donation has the power to:
turn the Douglas County Outdoor Recreation Plan we recently completed into improved access, trail connections, and amenities residents want,
carry the Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council’s Pathways Master Planning process another step closer to connectting our communities through an expanded network of non-motorized pathways,
continue to work with the USFS, one of our area’s largest land managers, as they face a $700 million funding crisis and no seasonal staff support in 2025, and
fuel our ongoing efforts to protect and enhance sustainable outdoor recreation initiatives that respect our community values and sense of place.
Join our team by making a donation and help keep outdoor recreation, and the communities that depend on it, thriving for years to come.
